Everything you might want to know before you play — from how the draw works to how we guarantee every artwork is authentic.
- How does WINYART work?
- Choose a competition, answer the skill question about the artwork correctly to unlock entry, then buy one or more tickets. When the draw closes on its published date, every eligible entry is numbered and one is drawn at random by our partner Randomdraws. If it's yours, the original artwork is yours.
- Is this gambling?
- No. WINYART is a prize competition of skill. Every entry requires a correct answer to a genuine skill question about the artwork — the feature that places it within the skill-competition exemption of the UK Gambling Act 2005.
- How is the winner chosen?
- Once the draw closes, all eligible entries (those with a correct answer) are numbered in a single pool. The winning number is then selected by our partner Randomdraws, an independent third-party random number generator, for an impartial and secure result.
- What if the competition doesn't sell out?
- The draw goes ahead on the published date regardless of how many entries were sold, so your odds can only ever be equal to or better than advertised.
- How do I receive the artwork?
- We arrange fully insured delivery of the original work, with its certificate of authenticity, anywhere in the world at no cost to the winner. Any import duties or local taxes in the destination country are the winner's responsibility.
- How can I be sure the artwork is authentic?
- Every work is acquired from recognised galleries or directly from the artists themselves, and is delivered with its certificate of authenticity. We never source from unverified resellers, and the provenance is documented for each piece.
- When and how will I know if I've won?
- The draw runs on the published closing date. The winning number and its proof are published publicly, and we contact the winner directly by email and phone.
- How many tickets can I buy?
- Each competition sets a maximum number of entries per person and per household, shown on the competition page. The limit applies to all of a person's entries.
- Who can enter?
- You must be 18 or over. Entry is open worldwide, provided a skill prize competition is lawful where you live — please check your local rules before entering.
- What is the skill question, and why is it there?
- Before you can enter, you must correctly identify the artist of a deliberately blurred artwork shown on the entry page (four options). It's a genuine test of skill — the legal cornerstone that makes WINYART a competition of skill rather than a lottery.
- How much does it cost?
- Each competition sets its own entry price, shown on its page. You can buy several tickets at once, and larger bundles unlock automatic discounts (from 10 tickets upward). Every paid ticket also earns loyalty points.
- Is my payment secure?
- Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe, a global leader in online payments. WINYART never sees or stores your card details.
- How do loyalty points and free tickets work?
- Every paid ticket earns 10 points. At 100 points you unlock a free reward ticket that you can redeem on eligible competitions — a real entry with exactly the same chance as a paid one.
- Can I invite friends?
- Yes. Share your personal referral link from your account. When a friend joins and makes their first paid entry, you earn 100 bonus points — enough for a free ticket.
- Is my personal data safe?
- Yes. We only collect what's needed to run the competition and deliver prizes, we never sell your data, and you can review your details or manage your e-mail preferences from your account at any time. See our Privacy & GDPR notice.
- What if I don't win — is my entry refundable?
- Entries are for a prize competition with a fixed draw date and are generally non-refundable once submitted, except where a competition is cancelled. See our refund policy for details.
